GUIDEPOSTS was founded in 1948 to create reading material in the spirit of the GUIDEPOSTS family. The Book and Inspirational Media Division issues a steady stream of best sellers and maintains an exceptional backlist of perennial favorites. At the heart of the publishing program is Daily Guideposts, an annual daily devotional containing all-new and original material each year, with a print run of 800,000. Drawing on the subscriber files of our magazines, Guideposts Books sold more than two million books in fiscal '99. Although some of our books are available in retail outlets, the vast majority are sold by direct mail.
